Hi! I am Sachintha Gunasena, I was born and raised in Sri Lanka. I posses a B.Sc. in Information Technology from Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT).
Soon after completing the degree I joined Virtusa (now VirtusaPolaris) a multinational company, which is one of the foremost global IT consulting and outsourcing service provider companies in Sri Lanka. There I went through trainings and worked with teams to hone my skills on web development, SharePoint solutions, business analysis, presentation, and company process.
Then I consulted and worked with several small businesses and startup environments, in Sri Lanka as well as Maldives. I wore multiple hats as a project coordinator, project manager, business analyst, quality assurance engineer, web developer, system administrator, and even a short stint as a digital marketing executive and a business development executive.
Wearing multiple hats has morphed me in to being better at my most recent stints, which are project management positions coupled with business analysis and web development. They were challenging as I had to work on multiple roles in rapid development environments.
I like to read a lot, and I do watch a fair amount of tech videos as well as creative videos of influencers. I follow influencers like Gary Vaynerchuck, Casey Niestat, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Guy Kawasaki, Lewis Howes, etc., to be inspired with my approach to life and work.
I play some video games on the computer as well as my phone in between breaks to refresh myself. I love to listen to music and whenever I get a chance I love to travel to experience new places and cultures.
Check out what I can do to guide your team towards Winning!
I have implemented processes, managed teams of tech leads, software engineers, designers (UX/UI), and QA engineers to deliver mobile apps, web apps, and games to delight clients as a project manager.
I have worked closely with clients and technical teams on aligning technical solutions with the business goals of companies as a business analyst.
"Learning never ends" and "Learning to learn" are two mantras I love to share. I continue to be updated on new technologies by reading and teaching undergraduates.
I work with web development technologies as a software engineer, and I continue to be updated on new technologies by reading and experimenting.
